Como cada año desde el 2008, la revista Fighters Only ha celebrado los World MMA Awards, una gala donde premian a personas y marcas destacadas del mundillo MMA en base a las votaciones de los usuarios.
Cada categoría tiene normalmente 5 nominados, y hay 22 diferentes y un premio que otorgan directamente, el premio a la trayectoria durante toda la carrera (lifetime achievement) que en esta ocasión se ha otorgado a Bruce Buffer por sus 20 años como speaker de eventos de MMA.
Este año, en la octava edición de los World MMA Awards Holly Holm se lleva tres premios, y Conor McGregor se lleva dos.
