Do you remember Vale Tudo Japan?

About a year after Royce Gracie dominated everyone in the first UFC show, his brother, Rickson Gracie, who was considered as the best out of the Gracies at the time, fought for the first time in front of the Japanese fans.

That was the Vale Tudo Japan show.

Rickson basically just dominated the tournament. It took him a little over five minutes in total to finish three fighters and there, the legend was born.

That was the first time that not only the Japanese fans but also most of the fans outside Brazil first saw Rickson actually in action.

And in Japan, many fans consider this show as the beginning of a real fight, a professional Mixed Martial Arts.

Now, after ten years since the last show, Sustain, is promoting Vale Tudo Japan again, this time at the newly built JCB Hall in Tokyo.

Sustain also announced a Shooto show at JCB Hall in November as well so we can expect to see some super fights in these two shows.

The detail of Vale Tudo Japan is yet to be revealed but a few super fights are expected and maybe a tournament.
