David Haye Retires, Allegedly

Former two division champion David Haye (25-2, 26KOs) is being reported to have quit boxing after he handed in his boxing licence. Haye, who lost his title by way of a twelve round decision to heavyweight king Wladimir Klitschko in July, turns 31-years-old on Thursday and always insisted he would not continue to box past his 31st birthday.

Although there has been no official confirmation from Haye, the British Boxing Board of Control secretary, Robert Smith, told the Sun:

"I received an email on Monday advising me Haye would not be carrying on. The Board will discuss it on Wednesday but there is no way we could go against his wish not to renew his boxing license. Without it, he can't fight."

Vitali camp deny Haye claim

Vitali Klitschko's promoter has dismissed claims that David Haye will retire - and expects the Englishman to face his fighter next year.
Media reports had suggested that Haye was set to hang up his gloves after deciding not to renew his boxing licence.
But Klitschko's promoter Bernd Boente has revealed that he is in negotiations with the Haye camp about a heavyweight world title clash in February or March next year.
Haye has admitted he would be interested in facing WBC champion Vitali after losing his WBA title following a points defeat to his younger brother Wladimir in July.
And Boente confirmed he has been holding talks in the last few hours with Haye's manager and trainer Adam Booth about a possible fight, with Germany the likely location.
Asked what are the chances of the fight taking place, Boente replied: "If the business case is realistic for both fighters - 100 per cent."

me ha gustado mucho la entrevista en la ser pankra, muchas gracias; a maravilla se le vé un tío cercano,teniendo en cuenta el tipo de supercampeón que es.

Como curiosidad decir que esa entrevista la he encontrado en un foro guiri.Se ve que ha creado eco lo de que esté negociando con Mayweather, dado que se daba casi por hecho que su próximo rival iba a ser posiblemente Amir Khan, debido a los fuerte rumores, y ahora con esto se abre una posibilidad para una pelea aún mejor.

Nonito Donaire después de pelear con Narváez podría ir a por “Travieso” Arce

A poca más de una semana para que el el filipino Nonito Donaire doble campeón gallo de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo (AMB) y del Consejo Mundial de Boxeo (CMB) se mida el próximo 22 de octubre al argentino Omar Narváez, Donaire en rueda de prensa confirmó que será su última pelea en la categoría. Era un secreto a voces que Donaire debido a su corpulencia subiría de categoría, el filipino es un digno sucesor de Pacquiao y su promotor Bob Arum ya esta viendo en Donaire la nueva mina de oro ya que es un boxeador con mucho tirón que podría ocupar el hueco que deje Pacquiao cuando se retire.
Parece ser que uno de los candidatos para medirse a Donaire cuando suba de categoría sería el Jorge “Travieso” Arce, el valiente mexicano ya mostró su interés hace unos días en una entrevista pidiendo enfrentarse a los mejores y afirmando su deseo de enfrentarse a Donaire, dicha pelea se podría dar a primeros del 2012.
